Location of the temple in GPS
GPS users please be aware that the official address of the temple does NOT contain street number on Berkeley Road. To locate the Temple in your GPS, there may be two options
- Locate the temple by landmark, if your GPS supports it.
- Locate the temple's neighbour at 1 Industrial Road, Unanderra, NSW 2526. When getting there, you will see the main gate of the Temple at the other side of the roundabout and then drive in straight through.
Going with a group
Nan Tien Guided Tour
For a group of at least 15 people, you can organise a guided tour for approximately 1.5 hours and it's only $4 per person (GST included). Guided tours are also conducted for Individuals or group less than 15 people on weekend and public holidays.
Excursion
Nan Tien Temple offers students the opportunity to gain a better understanding of Nan Tien Temple and Buddhism. In particular, "Humanistic Buddhism". Students are also given the chance to participate in a variety of activities such as:
The tranquility of meditation or the motion of Tai Chi;
The art of lotus flower folding or feel the breeze of calligraphy;
Dharma Talk on Buddhism.
Eat In the Temple
At Nan Tien Temple you can enjoy the very delicious vegetarian meal.
Dining Hall
Serves set lunch that is $9 per person. Open from 11:30am to 2:00pm (weekdays) & 11:30am t0 2:30pm (Weekends) when temple opens.
Dew Drop Inn (Tea House)
offering cafe-style beverages, snacks, desserts and light meals. Open from 9:00am to 5:00pm when temple opens.
What else do you need to know
The following items/conducts are prohibited in the temple:* any alcohol, meat, seafood, illegal drugs, smoking and pinicking;
* unruly behaviour or unsupervised children;
* photographing or video screening inside the shrines and museum.
Please remove shoes and hats upon entering each shrine. Please also wear appropriate attire (come suitably covered).
