- Master Hsing YunVenerable Master Hsing Yun founded the Fo Guang Shan Buddhist monastic order and represents Humanistic Buddhism in action. He has built over 200 temples and four universities, started many charitable organizations and the Buddha’s Light International Association (BLIA) to cater for the needs of the lay community. He is the author of many books, and founder of the Beautiful Life Satellite Television channel and the Merit Times, a daily Buddhist newspaper devoted to the greater good.
