Overview
Nan Tien Temple organises various cultural and multicultural activities. Cultural awareness, meditation, short-term monastic and cultivation retreats are held. The Temple commemorates important Buddhist days and hosts community functions that bring people together and foster good relations.

- Cultivation ClassesShort-term Classes are run once a week over 6 weeks with a small cost. Classes include Meditation, Tai Chi and English Buddhism Studies.
- One Day RetreatThis retreat is an opportunity for a short escape. It will give you perspective and will allow you to refocus. Learn the basics of Buddhism if only out of interest; or to adapt the Buddhist teachings to your daily life. Buddhism study will open your mind to new ideals and will give you the tools necessary to find your inner self.
- Weekend Meditation RetreatHeld on every second weekend of each month. This retreat helps us to refocus our lives and reawaken parts of ourselves suppressed by the life that we have been living.
- Short Monastic RetreatThis retreat is a one-week retreat that allows lay Buddhist or non-Buddhist a chance to learn traditional Buddhist etiquette, to experience monastic lifestyle and to cultivate the mind and body.
- Taking Refugee and Five PreceptsBy taking refugee a person can become a Buddhist. There is more profound meaning than taking the ceremony. This is not the end but is the beginning to change your life making it happier.
- bodhisattva Precept RetreatThis retreat is a two-day course with its objectives: to propagate Buddhism and promote the understandings of the Precepts; proper adherence to the Precepts; and cultivation of devotees' faith and practice will be reinforced resulting in purification of the human minds.
