Date: January 20th & 21st
Venue: Harmony Room, Nan Tien Temple (180 Berkeley Rd, Berkeley, NSW)
On behalf of Nan Tien Temple, I would like to extend an invitation to you to join us in a 2-day Buddhist Scripture teachers’ workshop on 20th & 21st January 2018 at Nan Tien Temple.
As you are aware, Nan Tien Temple has recently been approved as provider of Special Religious Education (SRE) in NSW Government Schools. All SRE teachers MUST now receive mandatory training before they commence teaching. The first day of the workshop aims to deliver updates on Child Protection and Behaviour Management from the NSW Department of Education site as well as the key components of effective lesson planning. The second day aims to advance understanding of the new curriculum to be implemented by the teachers since the new semester. It is important that we meet at this workshop to understand the NSW Department of Education policies and procedures and the new curriculum requirements.
Please find attached the invitation letter and timetable for more information. Please kindly indicate your acceptance,
which is greatly appreciated by Tuesday, 16 January 2018.
