Refunds Policy

Classes and Courses:
- No refunds will be given within 7 days before the course commences.
- Refunds will incur a non-refundable $10 administration fee.
- No transfers will be granted once the course commences. This includes transferring to next term or transferring the cash value to another Nan Tien Temple service.
Retreats:
One Day Retreat
- Full payment is required no later than one week prior to the Retreat date. Places are limited and cannot be secured until FULL payment is received. Failure to forward payment might result in the loss of the booking. No refunds are permitted within 1 week of the retreat. Refunds will incur a $10 administration fee.
- Participants are only allowed one postponement (change of Retreat date) free of charge within the same calendar year. No subsequent postponement will be accepted. No cancellation will be accepted after the postponement.
Weekend Meditation Retreat
- Payments must be made at time of booking. Unpaid applications are no longer accepted. If a cancellation is made less than 7 days prior to the retreat, the full amount is non-refundable. Refunds will incur a $50 admin fee.
- Participants are only allowed one postponement (change of Retreat date) free of charge within the same calendar year. No subsequent postponement will be accepted. No cancellation will be accepted after the postponement.
- Prices and dates are subject to change without notice. Cancellation of the retreat due to unforeseen circumstances may occur, however, in this instance, you may opt for a refund, or you may postpone.
Function and Conference:
- A 20% deposit is required to confirm the booking and is to be received by the due date stated on the invoice. In the event of the deposit not being received the booking will automatically be cancelled.
o The final balance must be paid at least 1 week prior to the conference/function date.
o If the cancellation is made less than 2 weeks before the function, the deposit will not be refunded.
o If the cancellation is made less than 7 days before the function, the full amount is non-refundable.
o Refunds will incur a $30 administration fee.
o If the group number reduces from the number booked three days prior to the conference/function date, there will be no reimbursements.
Accommodation (Individual):
- The first night's tariff, or 50% of total room tariff, whichever is higher, is charged at the time of booking. This amount, minus a $50.00 administration fee, will be refunded when notice of a cancellation is received at least 48hrs prior to the commencement date. Refunds will not be given on discounted accommodation, public holidays, after commencement date & less than 48hrs notice for cancellation.
- Deferral:There will be no extra administration fee if the first deferral notice is received at least 48 hours in advance. However, extra costs might be incurred due to adjustments of rates and availability of the room type on the new booking date; an extra administration fee of $50 will be charged if the accommodation is deferred to another time not within the calendar year.
Accommodation (Group bookings):
DEPOSIT:: In order to hold your reservation a $50 booking fee is required within 14 days (this is non-refundable). A deposit of 20% of the total accommodation costs is required within 60 days of the groups scheduled arrival.
- In the case of another tentative booking being received for the same period, Nan Tien Temple Pilgrim Lodge may contact you and require payment of the full deposit within 48 hours.
PAYMENT:Fourteen (14) days prior to the arrival date it is required that the balance of ALL accommodation charges are settled by a single entity, unless prior arrangements have been made with Management. We also ask for a final room allocation list 7 days prior to arrival.
- The organisers will be held financially responsible for any damages, missing items and / or excessive cleaning required. There is also a lost key fee" of $100.
CANCELLATIONS: If notice of cancellation is given:
- More than 60 Days’ notice - no cost will incur and any deposit made in relation to accommodation will be refunded.
- Between 30 and 60 Days’ notice – any deposit made in relation to the accommodation will be forfeited.
- Between 10 and 30 Days’ notice – any deposit made in relation to the accommodation will be forfeited or a cancellation fee equivalent to 50% of the accommodation for entire stay (number of nights) will be imposed (whichever is greater).
- Less than 10 Days’ notice - full payment will be required for the accommodation for entire stay, less any deposit made in relation to accommodation booking.
