Short-Term Monastic Retreat is a one-week retreat that allows lay Buddhist or non-Buddhist a chance to learn traditional Buddhist etiquette, to experience monastic lifestyle and to cultivate the mind and body.
The first Short-Term Monastic Retreat organised by Nan Tien Temple was in 1997 and since then everyone's responses were "When is the next one?" From that, Nan Tien Temple organised the Monastic Retreat every year.
Every Monastic Retreat have been a great success and the participants have learnt what it really means to be 'practicing' Buddhism. |
If you are interested, please come back to our website near end of the year to check out when the next Monastic Retreat is.
