Hands In Harmony

Hands In Harmony - 16th May to 4th June.

Play your part to co-create a regional unity art installation.

Indigenous Guest Speaker Dr Jodi Edwards.

This is a unique Australian Indigenous and Buddhist intercultural program with a focus on sustainability and Care for Country.
This is the first time Nan Tien Temple will be hosting the Sea of [Lotus] Hands from ANTAR (Australia for Native Title and Reconciliation). Visitors have the unique opportunity to place their reflection card (with lotus symbol, drawing and/or name) on their ‘Hand’ before planting into the ground to create the Sea of  [Lotus] Hands. The lotus represents purity and strength. The installation is symbolic of respect, inclusion and resilience.  Each hand will help form the 2km long rainbow serpent to show the cultural exchanges between Australian Indigenous people and Buddhists on Dhawaral land.
